Jorden DeGaetano
is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles who has spent the last 20 years fascinated by balance, detail, and a perpetual state of nostalgia. At the age of 5, he started flying alone between Seattle and LA to split time between his parents. This unique perspective from such a young age shaped him as a human and as an artist. From the crystal blue water along the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, listening to Sheryl Crow, the Spice Girls and 90s house music, to the monotonous gloom of Seattle, heavily influenced by 90s grunge artists Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden, he has continued to draw from these two polar opposites to create art that feels organic, uncontrived, carefree yet contemplative. Admitted to university with a photography and painting portfolio at 17 years old, he declined the offer and chose to spend his early adulthood in the workforce instead—with an eventual career in creative direction, digital marketing and advertising, finding his way back to making art at 27. Jorden’s mastery is beyond powerful images—it is connecting to people from all walks of life in a deeply emotional way, understanding that telling a story is one of our greatest legacies.
He works in collaboration with designers, agencies, boutique hotels, celebrities, media, wedding planners, restaurateurs, and architects.
